Bay View looks extremely cozy. I guess I don’t have one place in particular that’s a favorite but I want one! You know what I mean? A place that you visit at least once a year that you can sort of call your own.

I do enjoy driving up to “White Rock” by Lake Huron. It’s just this huge rock that sits out in the lake off of M-25 sort of up near the thumb. It was used to mark land that the Indians ceded to the state in the 1800′s. There isn’t really anything else that is special about the rock but that area contains a roadside park and public access to the beach. It’s nice to just walk down there and chill out for a while without big crowds and just sort of think about what it was like way back when.

Of course anywhere in the U.P. is always great as well. I still haven’t gotten to go on a boat tour near the Pictured Rocks but that is on my to due list once my son gets a little bit older and stops jumping around so much
